Although it has a small break, this coin is a great example of a coin reflecting one of the most desperate times in Roman History, bearing a message on the reverse that translates to "May God Help The Romans". These types were minted with silver that was melted down from church treasures, in a desperate attempt to raise forces to fight the Sassanids. Very few types have quite as good of a story as this one.
